From freelance to fractional
Charmaine ran CM Designs from 2007 to 2024, first as a side business alongside roles at a print shop, a publishing company, and a marketing agency, then as a full-time venture starting in 2019. Over those years, she supported dozens of agencies and small businesses with brand design, marketing and sales creative, and editorial work including annual reports, ESG reports, catalogs, and trade show materials.
Along the way, her network grew to include many talented marketing and communications experts, strategists, digital specialists, and creatives across a range of disciplines from design to animation to video production. In September 2024, Charmaine launched Fractional Creatives to bring all of that expertise together—offering clients more capacity, more strategic depth, and more impact than a solo freelancer ever could.
